How it all began

My name is Mike Widell and I have been in the log home construction for over 18 years and along with my log homes of course would come the stone work. So after building well over one hundred log projects around the world and meeting many stone masons, I became good friends with Al and Chris Poynter, a father and son team from Sun Valley Idaho. While guiding Chris in the mountains of my home in British Columbia, we were walking across a talus slide and Chris stopped. I turned to him and asked what was wrong and his reply was that we were standing on GOLD!! NO!! I replyed there is no gold in these rocks and He smiled at me and replied "oh yes there is, we are standing on it. This is some of the nicest stone for building that I have ever seen. Mike you have to get this stone on the market!!"
